Painting That Fits Your Build Schedule
A new build has a sequence, and paint sits near the end where every delay shows up. We work with builders to lock in dates for prime, first coat, and finish, then we show up when we said we would. That matters most in the two-week window before walkthrough, when floors go in and cabinets land. Our crews use airless spraying for ceilings and large wall runs to move fast without sacrificing coverage, then switch to brush and roll where a hand finish shows. If your schedule slips because of inspections or weather, a quick call moves us to the next opening instead of leaving a half-painted house sitting idle.
What We Cover on a New Build
Our scope on new construction covers interior walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards, doors, and exterior siding and trim where the plan calls for it. Fresh drywall needs real surface preparation: we check seams and fastener spots, spot-treat, and prime with the right product for bare joint compound so the finish coat goes on even. Ceilings get sprayed flat, walls get a two-coat system in the paint sheen your spec sheet calls for, and trim gets semi-gloss with caulked seams so the corners read clean. We also handle builder-grade cabinet boxes and repaints when a buyer upgrades. Tell us the plan and we price it room by room.
Punch Lists and Buyer Walkthroughs
Every builder knows the punch list is where a paint subcontractor earns or loses the next job. We treat touch-ups as part of the work, not an upsell. Nail pops, scuffs from other trades moving through, a nicked corner in the hallway: we come back, fix it, and blend it so you cannot see the repair. Before closing we do our own walk so your buyer does not find what we missed. Builders who work with us on spec homes tell us the same thing matters every time: fair pricing, crews that show up on time, and clean lines where wall meets trim. We build our process around those three things.
Serving Builders Across the Triangle
We paint new construction across Raleigh and the surrounding towns: Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Clayton, and the rest of Wake County and nearby. Whether you are finishing a custom home in Rolesville or a set of townhomes in Wendell, one family crew handles your scope start to finish, which keeps quality consistent from the first house to the last. Our crews stay low-dust with masking and containment, so mess in a finished neighborhood stays contained. Send us your floor plans and paint schedule and we will turn a quote around fast, plainly priced with no surprises between bid and final walkthrough.

New Construction Painting for Home Builders in Raleigh FAQs
How far ahead should we schedule painting on a new build?
Most builders book us when drywall finishing is underway, so we can plan prime and finish coats around your flooring and cabinet installs. Primer usually goes on once drywall is sanded and dust is down, then finish coats after mechanical and trim rough-ins are done. On typical single-family timelines that puts paint in the final three to four weeks before closing. If your dates move, one call reschedules us.
Do you spray or roll new construction interiors?
Both, depending on the surface. Ceilings and large open wall runs are sprayed for speed and an even texture match, then back-rolled where the surface needs it. Trim, doors, and anywhere a brush finish shows are done by hand. Fresh drywall gets the right primer for bare joint compound before any color goes on, which keeps the finish from flashing or absorbing unevenly in the first coat.
Can you handle paint upgrades buyers request after signing?
Yes. Buyers often ask for a bolder color in the dining room, an accent wall, or semi-gloss in place of builder flat. Send us the change orders and we price them the same way we price the base scope, plainly. Because we are already on site for the main job, color changes are far easier before the first finish coat than after closing, so get them to us early when you can.
Do you paint home builder spec houses as well as custom homes?
We do both across Raleigh and the surrounding towns. Spec houses reward a crew that can hit the same quality on a repeat schedule without cutting prep, and custom homes reward care on things like crown molding and stained trim. Either way you get the same family crew, the same two-coat process, and a walkthrough before we call the job done.
